Who We Are

We, at our parent company Ag Grow Consulting Ltd., saw a need for a simple, streamlined crop scouting app - one that was based on Western Canadian agriculture and that saved us time in the field. We partnered up with a fantastic web developer; Underlabs, and AgScouter was born.

Kara Annand
Owner

Kara grew up on a family farm near Moose Jaw and moved to the Nipawin area in 2002. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a major in Crop Science and a minor in Agri-business. As a Professional Agrologist, Kara has assisted farmers in cropping decisions in Saskatchewan for the last fourteen years. Kara strives to make sure that her customers are informed on current field conditions by staying in constant contact. Using both her extensive network of industry contacts and her experience with growers, Kara is equipped to provide advice on a broad range of agronomic topics.

Kara uses AgScouter in the field every day so that she can quickly record all of her findings and recommendations, as well as staying connected to her scout team and her farmers.

Jill has worked as an administrator in the ag industry for the past decade. Her introduction to this line of work was when she moved back to her hometown Mervin, SK after marrying Travis in 2011. While there, she worked as an administrator for Cavalier Agrow in Meota and received her bookkeeping certificate through an online SIAST program. In 2014, they relocated back to Travis’ mixed family farm in Carrot River where they live with their two children – Oliver and Eberlee. Jill is dedicated to providing quality admin and technical support for our crop scouts so that they can spend their time and focus where it needs to be – in farmers' fields!

AgScouter customers enjoy a direct line of communication to Jill for all of their questions or needs. No impersonal call centers, just personal attention.
